Curious about the boss? His desk chair offers clues about his character

What does an executive office chair say about its owner? Designer Italian leather desk chairs are impressive and show great taste and an appreciation for elegance. They seem to say, “I have it all, and I am proud of it.” More edgy mod designer chairs say, “I’m creative and fun, but I am also powerful, and a master of my own fate, as well as yours.”

A traditional, old style button and tuck desk chair says, “I am not swayed by trends or fads. I stick to what is real and of solid worth in the world.” Traditional luxury chairs are a sign of corporate stability and a traditional company policy. Employees should be careful to be dignified in the office.

Those chairs are obviously meant to make a statement but what about a more mainstream desk chair . A modern and obviously technological ergonomic chair shows a concern for health and a love of technology. It states clearly that its owner is more impressed with practical matters at hand, and has a sensible outlook.

A more standard looking modern leather Swivel Chair is a statement of mainstream efficiency. It is a sign of a practical individual who is neither swayed by trends, nor impressed with extremes. If the boss sits in one of these it is certain that stability and maintaining a solid bottom line are his goals.

The new mesh chairs are interesting. It could mean this executive is under a lot of pressure. He may enjoy the durability features of the chair. He obviously appreciates practicalities, neatness and comfort.
